Commission is calculated on gross booking revenue, before Airbnb's own host service fee (≈3%, deducted by Airbnb) and any cleaning fee charged directly to the guest.

A note on platform costs
Airbnb and Booking.com do not charge to create a listing — they take a commission per booking, deducted automatically. Other channels such as LekkeSlaap may charge a monthly or annual subscription. All such platform costs are for the owner's account. Elsja Prop handles setup and ongoing management of each listing; the R150/platform/month management fee applies only to channels beyond Airbnb and is included in the Premium tier.
